Cupped Hands Bird Feeder
Original artwork by Michael Gentilucci. Copyright Protected by Designer Stone, Inc.
Michael's inspiration for this sculpture… "In Designer Stone's early years, my Uncle Frank surprised Alisa and I with an unexpected visit. He visited for awhile but before returning home, he pressed a check into my hands which I politely refused. While cupping his own hands in front of me, he explained, "Michael your hands must always remain open to accept life's gifts and when possible, give to others, I am in the position to give". I accepted his gift and was so inspired by this gesture that I sculptured this piece and gave it to him as a wedding gift the next fall".
Maybe this sculpture will make a thoughtful thank you gift for someone in your life. This life-sized sculpture rests gracefully on an ornate triangular base, symbolizing offering, gratitude or remembrance. It makes a thoughtful thank-you gift or a peaceful accent for a desk, garden nook or altar. Fill it with birdseed, water, or a single rosebud for a simple, meaningful display. The easy on the eye earth tones are especially nice too, complimenting the weathered worn detail and texture.
